this is a series of drawings I did about Minneapolis stereotypes that I’m selling prints of on my etsy shop and that will also make an appearance at Caffetto soon along with some other pieces. I posted a concept sketch for this a really long time ago and just got around to making them.

These are meant to be jokes. Please note that these are conscious stereotype illustrations and doesn’t reflect the way I view these areas, but rather how these areas are commonly viewed (mostly by kids in their 20s who smoke a lot of weed). I’ve been asked a lot why there isn’t a NE or dinkytown or St Paul ones, and all I really have to say to that is these were created through my lens (anyone else doing this exact same concept would pick entirely different things to represent…I mean obviously southside isn’t actually dominated by punk houses) and generally reflects people I’m around a lot/their opinions.
