my best friend is taking a class from my old advisor from my old department at my old university and he’s trolling by writing a paper on how lady g is trying to take over the world and asked me to do an illustration so the last thing in the paper could be an image credit to me since that entire school hates me. i GLADLY obliged because it’s fucking hilarious and lady gaga IS trying to take over the world

p.s. i dropped out of this school after almost getting expelled for drawing some offensive cartoons about students

BOOM. named this motherfucker in addition to filling most of the plotholes I’d had in my head. Time to get real with drawing this.
Aphelion is a 3 part comic following three characters in young adulthood. Trying to find the line between creation and destruction, they stumble through ideas, drugs and canvases trying to find something to give themselves meaning. It’s hard to summarize, there’s no real plot…I’m generally trying to capture the hysterical, self-loathing, nihilistic viewpoint it seems everyone in our generation was born with for some reason. WRITE-IT-ON-A-JEAN-JACKET-WITH-A-SHARPIE-TAKE-PICTURES-OF-YOUR-FRIENDS-SPITTING-DRINK-DROWN-CRY-ABOUT-NOTHING-ALL-THE-TIME-AND-WONDER-WHY-OBSESS-OVER-EVERYONES-FAULTS-CHEESE-POWDER-BLACK-NAIL-POLISH-INIFINITE-AGONY-UPSIDE-CROSS-TOO-EXHAUSTED-TO-STOP-AND-THINK-BUT-CAN’T-STOP-THINKING-WE’VE-BEEN-BRED-TO-HATE-EACH-OTHER-WHAT-DO-WE-DO-NOW?

iiiiiif this sounds interesting to you, I just retagged everything in my tumblr associated with it for you to peruse, and later tonight I’ll make a separate page with some character info and lookbooks (seriously everyone has like an entire detailed wardrobe because i’m creepy).
